The West End Gallery is located in the heart of the downtown antique and art district of Winston Salem, North Carolina, the City of the Arts. The distinctive brick-red sided, two story building at 453 West End Boulevard is the upstairs home of the gallery. Small and intimate, the gallery houses the original oil paintings of Susan Lautemann and other local artists. Hours are by appointment as well as walk in most days. Paintings in the gallery are beautiful, colorful and reasonably priced. There are seascapes and landscapes, still lifes, florals and abstracts. Most are in the impressionistic style of the French masters. Some have won juried shows in the area. Art shows occur about every two months and feature one of the gallery artists. The gallery rents out a large space for a holiday show in the final quarter of the year and provides quality gifts for decorating and for holiday giving.
